Job Description

A welcoming infant school in Warwickshire is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD. This role requires strong classroom experience and a solid understanding of autism, including sensory awareness, structured routines, and communication strategies. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure the child feels safe, supported, and able to access learning.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver dedicated 1:1 classroom support
Implement autism-friendly strategies and structured routines
Support communication, transitions, and emotional regulation
Assist with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Classroom experience in a primary setting

  • Knowledge and understanding of ASD

  • Patient, calm, and consistent approach

  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
