Job Description
A welcoming primary school in Warwickshire is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD. This role requires strong classroom experience and a solid understanding of autism, including communication strategies, sensory needs, and emotional regulation. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure the child can access learning confidently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent 1:1 classroom support
Implement strategies tailored to ASD needs
Support communication, transitions, and emotional regulation
Contribute to EHCP targets and progress monitoring
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Classroom experience supporting children with ASD
Understanding of autism-friendly approaches
Patient, calm, and structured approach
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
