Job Description
A specialist school in Birmingham is seeking a passionate and adaptable QTS Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This role is ideal for an educator who is committed to inclusive teaching and can create engaging, personalised learning experiences that enable pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Working within a supportive SEND environment, you'll play a key role in helping learners overcome barriers to education while developing confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Support pupils with a range of SEND requirements
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise achievement
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and wider support teams
Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and emotional development
Contribute to personalised learning plans and pupil reviews
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil support
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous teaching experience
Experience working with pupils with SEND
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to differentiate learning effectively
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Passion for inclusive education and pupil development
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
