Job Description
A specialist school in Worcestershire is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and enjoys working in a supportive, pupil-centred environment.
Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you'll help create engaging learning experiences while supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils with a range of SEND needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assist with classroom learning and differentiated activities
Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and participation
Support pupils' communication, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teachers and wider support teams
Help implement personalised learning and support plans
Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous SEND experience
Classroom experience within an educational setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
