Job Description
A primary school in Warwickshire is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and enjoys helping children build confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you'll provide tailored support that enables pupils to access learning, engage positively with school life, and achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support for pupils with SEND needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assist with classroom learning and differentiated activities
Support pupils' social, emotional, and communication development
Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement
Help implement individual support plans and learning strategies
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and families
Promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Previous SEND experience
Classroom experience within a school setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Ability to adapt support to meet individual pupil needs
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
