Job Description
A specialist SEND setting in Warwickshire is seeking an enthusiastic SEMH Pathways Teacher to support young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and complex behaviours. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative educator who can combine high-quality teaching with real-world experiences that prepare pupils for further education, employment, and independent living.
You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver engaging, vocationally focused learning that develops confidence, resilience, and employability alongside academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs
Develop personalised learning programmes that support academic, personal, and vocational development
Build positive relationships that promote confidence, resilience, and engagement
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
Encourage independence, problem-solving, and practical life skills
Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress against agreed targets
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, families, and external professionals
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for all learners
Desired Experience + Qualifications
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, PETTLS, DETTLS, or equivalent)
Degree qualified
Experience delivering engaging learning to young people
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
