Job Description
A Primary school in Oxfordshire is seeking a KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with early literacy, routines, and confidence-building. You’ll guide small groups, model clear instructions, and help pupils manage transitions calmly. Some children need reassurance to attempt reading tasks; others need structured prompts to stay focused. Working closely with the class teacher, you’ll help maintain an encouraging, organised learning space where pupils feel secure and ready to progress.
Support KS1 pupils during lessons and group tasks.
Assist with early reading, phonics, and numeracy.
Guide routines, transitions, and organisation.
Work closely with the class teacher.

Experience supporting younger Primary learners.
Warm, patient communication.
Confidence modelling early learning tasks.
