Job Description
A school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a partially sighted pupil. You’ll help adapt classroom materials, guide mobility around school, and offer learning and emotional support throughout the day. This role is ideal for someone with SEND or sensory support experience who is committed to making education accessible for all.
Provide tailored 1:1 assistance for a visually impaired pupil
Modify resources and learning environments as needed
Ensure safety and confidence during movement around the school
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and outside specialists
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting SEND or visually impaired pupils
Patience, empathy, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
