Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Life Skills Instructor to teach independence, communication, and functional learning in a supportive alternative provision. You’ll design and deliver creative, real-world lessons for students who need structure, empathy, and engagement outside of the traditional classroom. No QTS required—just passion, presence, and purpose.

Plan and deliver sessions on cooking, budgeting, hygiene, and daily routines
Build trust and consistency with students who have additional needs
Work closely with pastoral and SEND teams
Promote social development and emotional resilience

Desired Experience + Qualifications

  • Experience working with vulnerable or SEND learners

  • Background in teaching, youth work, care or coaching

  • Creative, calm, and person-centred approach

  • Resilience and the ability to build positive relationships
