Job Description
We’re searching for a confident and compassionate Behaviour Buddy to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 who need a bit of extra guidance to stay focused and feel secure in their learning. You’ll work closely with the class teachers, SENDCo, and pastoral team to promote positive behaviour strategies, provide emotional support, and build trust-based relationships that help pupils thrive. Every day is different — you might be de-escalating a tricky situation one moment and celebrating a breakthrough the next. This role suits someone who’s calm under pressure, patient with children, and passionate about creating safe spaces where every pupil feels valued and understood.
Job Responsibilities:
Support pupils with social, emotional, or behavioural needs across the school day
Deliver and reinforce behaviour plans in collaboration with staff
Build rapport and model positive communication
Encourage reflection and resilience through structured mentoring

Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or emotional needs
Empathetic, patient, and consistent communication style
Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure
Strong collaboration and initiative within a team setting
