Job Description
As a Behaviour Buddy, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting pupils who need extra help staying focused and emotionally regulated in class. You’ll work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to promote positive behaviour, model calm responses, and create safe, structured routines. This position suits someone confident building trust with children and skilled at noticing what’s behind the behaviour. Whether it’s helping a child re-engage after a difficult morning or leading a brief movement break, your influence will be both practical and lasting.
Job Responsibilities:
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
Implement positive reinforcement and restorative strategies
Work 1:1 and in small groups to develop regulation skills
Collaborate with teaching and SEND teams to review progress
Desired Experience

Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
A calm, patient, and confident approach
Understanding of de-escalation techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
