Job Description
This is a school-based pastoral and behaviour support role designed to help pupils re-engage positively with learning. You’ll work with students who need guidance to manage conduct, emotions or motivation, supporting them 1:1 or in small groups. Using restorative approaches, de-escalation techniques and consistent encouragement, you’ll help staff create a productive classroom culture and ensure pupils feel seen, supported and safe.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide behaviour mentoring to pupils identified by pastoral or SEN teams
Support de-escalation and re-engagement during lessons
Work with teaching staff to implement behaviour plans
Deliver small-group interventions that build confidence and self-regulation
Desired Experience

Experience working with young people in education, youth work or support roles
Confident managing behaviour calmly and respectfully
Able to build rapport quickly and maintain professional boundaries
A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting secondary pupils
