Job Description
A school in Wolverhampton is seeking a compassionate PDA Support Assistant to support pupils with Pathological Demand Avoidance profiles. This role is ideal for someone who can work flexibly, build trust, and help pupils feel secure and engaged within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and tailored support for pupils with PDA needs
Support emotional regulation and anxiety management
Build strong and consistent relationships with pupils
Work collaboratively with teaching and SEND staff
Adapt strategies and communication styles to individual pupils
Desired Experience + Qualifications
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ASD, or PDA
Calm and adaptable approach
Strong relationship-building skills
Understanding of anxiety-based behaviours
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
