Job Description

As a Classroom Engagement Partner you will support pupils who need extra encouragement structure and reassurance to stay engaged throughout the school day. Working closely with the class teacher you will help scaffold lessons break down instructions and provide a stable point of connection for pupils who thrive with additional support.

You’ll assist with group activities behaviour routines and transitions using relational strategies that help children feel comfortable and confident. The role requires patience creativity and the ability to read the classroom moment by moment adapting your support to the needs of the pupils in front of you.

This position suits someone who enjoys being hands on who finds motivation in helping children overcome small barriers and who wants to develop their practice in a school where support staff are valued and trusted.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support pupils during lessons with focus organisation and task completion
Provide reassurance and gentle direction during transitions
Assist with group learning activities and early interventions
Use de escalation and relational strategies to maintain a calm atmosphere
Work with teachers to track progress and adjust strategies
