Job Description

A respected secondary school in Coventry is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor to join their dynamic teaching support team. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining structure and enthusiasm in the classroom while ensuring students stay on track with learning. This role suits someone confident in managing groups of pupils, fostering respect and focus through positive communication. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking environment where consistency, rapport, and adaptability are key. The school provides ongoing support and training, recognising that strong cover supervisors make a significant impact in maintaining continuity for students and staff alike.

Job Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Support students in understanding tasks and staying engaged.
Provide feedback to subject teachers and contribute to departmental discussions.
