Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Coventry area. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality English lessons and contribute to a thriving department dedicated to helping students succeed in both their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities :
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Prepare students for GCSE exams through structured teaching and targeted support
Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods accordingly
Create a classroom environment that promotes a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking
Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives

+ Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to inclusive education
Excellent communication, planning, and behaviour management skills
