Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee site operations at a vibrant all‑through school. You’ll ensure that buildings, grounds and services meet high standards — supporting maintenance, health & safety, cleaning, security, events, and general site‑wide operations. Your work will help create a safe, welcoming and effective learning environment for students, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day maintenance, cleaning, site repairs, grounds upkeep and facilities planning
Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, safeguarding and building regulations
Liaise with contractors and suppliers; oversee procurement, maintenance schedules and service contracts
Coordinate lettings, events, and after‑school use of facilities — including weekend coverage
Lead and support any site or caretaking team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities or site‑management, ideally in a school, campus or similar setting
Strong knowledge of health & safety, building maintenance and site operations
Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills
Reliable, proactive and flexible — able to work across 5 days (including weekends) as needed
Professional approach and ability to contribute to a safe, welcoming school environment
