Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager with proven experience in school or education settings. You’ll manage day‑to‑day operations, oversee maintenance, health & safety compliance, cleaning and grounds, and ensure the buildings and services reflect the high standards at a growing all‑through school. You’ll work flexibly across 5 days of the week including weekends, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency and the wellbeing of staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance, cleaning, grounds and site services across the school
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, fire safety, safeguarding and catering contracts
Manage contractors, suppliers, budgets and service schedules
Coordinate lettings, event setups and facilities usage out‑of‑hours
Lead and train the facilities team to deliver high standards and a positive site culture
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a school or campus setting
Solid knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and site operational systems
Strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
Ability to work flexibly, including some weekend cover
Proactive, solution‑oriented and capable of working independently
