Job Description

As a KS1 Support Partner you will work closely with pupils aged five to seven helping them navigate routines build early phonics and numeracy skills and develop confidence in the classroom. This is a role rooted in building relationships through warmth patience and clear communication. You will support whole class learning small group work and targeted interventions that boost early literacy and readiness for learning.

Your support will help children who struggle with transitions attention or early academic challenges. You may work with groups focusing on phonics reading practice early writing and number tasks. You will also play an important role in modelling positive behaviour supporting emotional regulation and helping pupils find joy in learning even when tasks feel difficult.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the foundational stage of primary education where curiosity enthusiasm and encouragement make a significant impact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver small group phonics early reading and number activities
Provide one to one support during literacy and numeracy lessons
Help pupils understand routines expectations and transitions
Support emotional regulation through clear consistent reassurance
Work with the class teacher to adapt tasks and monitor progress
