Job Description
A vibrant primary school in Solihull is seeking a passionate Learning Mentor to work with children who need a little extra encouragement to reach their full potential. You’ll support pupils across KS1 and KS2 who benefit from additional academic or emotional guidance, helping them to engage, self-regulate, and succeed in the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who loves to see progress unfold — from small confidence boosts to big academic wins. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and the SENCO to implement personalised support plans that build both resilience and curiosity. The school believes in growing people — pupils and staff alike — and provides regular opportunities for professional development in wellbeing, inclusion, and behaviour support.
Job Responsibilities:
Support pupils through structured 1:1 and group mentoring sessions.
Develop and implement personalised learning and wellbeing strategies.
Model positive behaviour and communication for pupils across the school.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the inclusion team to monitor progress.
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Prior experience in a classroom, youth work, or pastoral support setting.
An understanding of child development and behaviour management techniques.
