Job Description
We’re looking for a Learning Partner to bring energy, patience, and creativity to a Good Ofsted-rated primary school in Coventry. You’ll work side by side with class teachers to build learning confidence, support literacy and numeracy skills, and make every pupil feel valued and capable. This isn’t a role where you fade into the background — your ideas will shape how lessons are delivered and how children thrive. From leading small intervention groups to calming an anxious pupil after break, you’ll be a steady and encouraging presence. The school prides itself on giving staff freedom to innovate, and you’ll have access to ongoing training, mentoring, and clear routes to progress into HLTA or teaching pathways.
Job Responsibilities:
Support classroom learning through differentiated small-group activities
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
Deliver targeted interventions in reading, writing, and numeracy
Help create a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
Experience supporting Key Stage 1 or 2 pupils
Confident communicator with a compassionate and adaptable approach
Committed to inclusion, progress, and professional growth
About the School
This Coventry primary school has earned its Good Ofsted rating through consistent care and collaboration. With a warm, community feel and a forward-thinking approach to learning, it’s a place where both pupils and staff grow together. The leadership team values creativity and encourages everyone — from teachers to teaching assistants — to share ideas that make learning meaningful. Outdoor learning is a key feature here, alongside a strong commitment to wellbeing and diversity. Pupils are celebrated for their individuality, and the staff culture is one of shared success and kindness. Recent initiatives include a reading mentor programme and mindfulness breaks woven into the school day. For someone who wants to feel truly part of a school family, this is a rare find.
