Job Description
We’re looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join a high-performing secondary school in Solihull. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys helping students overcome barriers to learning — whether academic, emotional, or behavioural. You’ll work closely with teachers and pastoral leaders to provide targeted mentoring, encourage engagement, and develop personalised support plans. The focus is on progress and confidence: helping young people rediscover their motivation, build resilience, and take ownership of their learning journey. Job Responsibilities:
Provide structured one-to-one and small group mentoring for pupils at risk of disengagement
Support teachers in maintaining positive behaviour and emotional regulation in class
Monitor progress and attendance, sharing updates with the pastoral team
Lead small group workshops on study skills, motivation, and wellbeing
