Job Description
This role offers the chance to support pupils who benefit from a gentle structure and consistent emotional reassurance within a warm community-focused primary school. As a Level 2 Nurture Teaching Assistant you’ll work closely with the class teacher and the school’s pastoral lead to create a calm predictable environment where children feel safe enough to take risks in their learning.
Your day will blend classroom support with small-group nurture sessions designed to strengthen emotional regulation communication and confidence. You’ll help children make sense of routines develop friendships and re-engage positively with learning after moments of overwhelm. This role suits someone who is patient reflective and skilled at building trust slowly but meaningfully.
You’ll have the freedom to use creativity to break down barriers to learning and the support of a staff team who believe that relationships sit at the heart of progress. This is a rewarding position for someone who enjoys seeing quiet daily wins grow into long-term change.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support pupils with social emotional and developmental needs in class and small groups
Deliver structured nurture interventions with guidance from the pastoral team

Collaborate with teachers on adapting tasks routines and expectations
Maintain consistent boundaries and track progress against personalised plans
