Job Description

We’re seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Birmingham. In this role, you’ll support pupils across the classroom, helping them stay engaged, confident, and ready to learn. You’ll assist with phonics, reading, numeracy, and small-group interventions, while also supporting social and emotional development through encouragement and consistency. The role suits someone with a steady, nurturing approach — someone who enjoys seeing children’s progress unfold over time. You’ll work alongside skilled teachers who genuinely value collaboration and fresh ideas, making every day an opportunity to build relationships and contribute meaningfully to school life.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide small-group and 1:1 learning support across KS1 and KS2
Support behaviour regulation and pupil confidence through positive strategies
Assist teachers with planning, resources, and classroom organisation
Help create a warm, inclusive learning environment

Desired Experience
+ Qualifications

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
Previous classroom experience preferred
Good literacy and numeracy knowledge
Empathy, flexibility, and strong communication skills
