Job Description

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant you will be joining a primary school that values proactive support and sees TAs as partners in learning rather than extra hands in the room. You will work directly with pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1 supporting them through routines phonics sessions early writing tasks and personalised learning goals. Your role will be central to helping pupils settle into learning build independence and develop confidence in the classroom.

You will collaborate with teachers and leaders to adapt resources support small group teaching and help shape a calm purposeful learning environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure warmth and clarity to early learning. You will have the chance to observe excellent practitioners and contribute to planning discussions especially for pupils who need targeted interventions. This is a role for someone who is organised reflective and genuinely committed to helping young children feel capable and ready to learn.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support daily classroom routines and implement structured learning activities
Deliver phonics and early literacy interventions with guidance from the class teacher
Provide targeted attention to pupils needing additional encouragement
Prepare resources and assist with behaviour routines and transitions
Work with staff to monitor progress and share observations

A Level 2 qualification or relevant hands-on experience in primary settings
Strong communication and the ability to build trust with young pupils
Confident with early years routines phonics and step-by-step learning
