Job Description

This role is well suited to someone who wants to make targeted classroom impact while working within a positive, structured environment. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll support KS1 and KS2 classes in Oxfordshire, helping to deliver high-quality learning, intervention groups, and individual support. You’ll work alongside teaching staff to reinforce literacy, numeracy, and curriculum engagement, while contributing to planning discussions and resource preparation. This role goes beyond general assistance—you’ll be trusted to lead small groups, scaffold learning, and adapt activities for pupils with mixed abilities. The school values staff who can communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and maintain high expectations with warmth and consistency. You’ll be encouraged to develop your career pathway, whether towards teaching, SEND specialism, pastoral support, or curriculum interventions. If you’re looking for a role where you’re seen as a professional contributor rather than an add-on, this is an excellent environment to grow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support whole-class learning and small intervention groups
Deliver phonics, reading, or maths support where needed
Help differentiate tasks for mixed-ability pupils
Assist with planning and resource preparation
