Job Description
We’re looking for a confident, adaptable Primary Cover Supervisor to join a friendly Birmingham school where community, curiosity, and care go hand in hand. In this role, you’ll step into classrooms across Key Stages 1 and 2, delivering pre-prepared lessons and keeping learning on track while the class teacher is away. Each day brings something different — from leading a phonics session to supporting a hands-on science experiment. The school’s leadership team values reliability and presence, seeing cover staff as vital contributors to consistency and continuity. You’ll receive regular CPD, mentoring, and a clear development pathway toward teaching or HLTA roles. Job Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging pre-set lessons across KS1 and KS2
Maintain a calm, structured classroom environment in line with school values
Provide pastoral care and support for pupils throughout the day
Liaise with class teachers and senior staff to ensure seamless continuity
