Job Description
As a Primary Progress Assistant, you will support pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, helping them develop confidence, independence, and stronger learning habits. Working closely with the class teacher, you will deliver small-group activities, one-to-one guidance, and targeted interventions that boost reading, writing, and maths fluency.
The pupils you support may need help with transitions, clearer explanations of tasks, or extra reassurance during challenging lessons. You will break down work into manageable steps, use visual supports, model vocabulary, and guide pupils during independent learning time. Your presence will contribute to a calm, organised classroom where children feel safe to ask questions and take academic risks.
This role suits someone who is patient, consistent, and motivated by seeing children grow in confidence through supportive, well-structured teaching.
