Job Description
As a Progress and Wellbeing Coach you will support Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 pupils who need a little extra confidence structure and emotional reassurance to engage fully in classroom learning. You will work directly with the class teacher to provide focused guidance during lessons group activities and transitions helping pupils stay motivated and feel secure.
Your work may include supporting guided reading small group maths fluency tasks writing scaffolds or wellbeing based activities that help pupils develop resilience and self regulation. You will offer calm relational support to pupils who struggle with change attention or low confidence creating predictable routines that help them settle quickly.
This role suits someone who enjoys building positive relationships who brings steady energy into the classroom and who believes that small steps daily praise and clear structure can transform both behaviour and learning.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support pupils during core lessons using task breakdown and gentle guidance
Assist with group reading maths interventions and structured catch up work
Provide emotional reassurance during transitions and busy periods
Help pupils develop positive routines through clear expectations
Share observations with teachers to support planning and next steps

Experience supporting primary aged pupils
Warm communication style and approachable manner

Understanding of basic literacy and numeracy support
