Job Description
This Learning Mentor position offers you the chance to play a key role in shaping the learning culture of a warm and purposeful primary school. You will work closely with pupils who need extra encouragement to stay engaged helping them break down tasks build confidence and reconnect with classroom expectations. The role blends emotional support practical guidance and academic focus giving you the scope to build consistent relationships that genuinely matter.
You will work alongside teachers behaviour leads and pastoral staff to create plans that meet pupils exactly where they are. You will guide pupils through routines encourage positive habits and support their emotional readiness for learning. This school values open communication and shared ownership so you can expect regular professional conversations and opportunities to contribute ideas. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide one to one and small group mentoring for pupils needing additional motivation or emotional regulation
Support pupils with behaviour routines attention strategies and classroom organisation
Work with teachers to implement personalised support plans
Build trusted positive relationships with pupils and model calm consistent behaviour
Provide feedback on pupil progress to the pastoral and teaching teams
