Job Description
This role focuses on supporting pupils who receive Pupil Premium funding, ensuring they have the academic scaffolding, confidence and targeted interventions needed to close gaps and achieve in line with their peers. You’ll work in small groups and one-to-one, adapting resources and offering a calm, steady presence that helps children stay focused and motivated.
You’ll play a central role in the school’s broader commitment to equity, working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support plans. This is a setting that values thoughtful communication, patience and relational working. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, observe best practice across year groups and take part in regular CPD.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide targeted interventions to Pupil Premium pupils
Support classroom learning and adapt resources to meet need
Build secure and trusting relationships with pupils
Track progress against personalised goals
Assist teachers with planning, preparation and assessment notes
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Experience supporting children aged 4–11
Strong organisation and communication skills
Ability to maintain focus and engagement with small groups
A proactive, patient and calm working style
Understanding of SEND and early intervention is advantageous
