Job Description
We’re looking for an inspiring Pupil Premium Teaching Assistant to support children in a thriving South Birmingham primary school. You’ll help bridge learning gaps, build pupils’ confidence, and support small-group sessions in literacy and numeracy. This is a role where you’ll see immediate results — helping children who need that little bit of extra attention flourish both academically and emotionally. Working alongside class teachers, you’ll contribute to lesson planning, monitor progress, and create inclusive learning opportunities that celebrate every child’s individuality. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring no child is left behind and that learning feels accessible, exciting, and rewarding.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver small-group interventions and one-to-one support sessions
Track progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
Support the social and emotional development of pupils
Contribute ideas for engaging, inclusive activities and displays
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for primary education
Ability to motivate and engage reluctant learners
A reflective, positive, and proactive approach
