Job Description
We’re seeking a Pupil Premium Teaching Assistant for a warm and ambitious primary school in Coventry. This role focuses on supporting pupils who benefit from additional academic and emotional guidance, helping bridge the gap between potential and progress. You’ll work closely with small groups and individuals, supporting literacy, numeracy, and confidence-building activities that make learning feel achievable and exciting. This is a role for someone who sees the bigger picture — who understands that progress looks different for every child and that small steps lead to big outcomes. The school values creativity and reflection in its support team, providing regular training and coaching to ensure you can deliver high-impact interventions with empathy and energy.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted small group and one-to-one interventions for Pupil Premium pupils
Support emotional wellbeing and encourage positive learning attitudes
Collaborate with class teachers to plan and adapt engaging resources
Track progress and celebrate achievements, however small
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Experience supporting primary-aged pupils (school or tutoring experience welcomed)
Knowledge of Pupil Premium or intervention strategies desirable
Strong literacy and numeracy confidence
Kind, consistent, and resilient approach to pupil development
