Job Description

As a Secondary Behaviour Support Coach you will work with pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who require consistent encouragement boundaries and emotional guidance to remain engaged in learning. You will be a key member of the pastoral and classroom support team helping pupils who struggle with focus transitions confidence or behaviour linked to underlying needs.

You will support pupils during lessons clarifying expectations breaking tasks into manageable steps and offering calm redirection when challenges arise. You may also run structured coaching sessions focused on routines resilience communication and self management. With guidance from teachers and pastoral leads you will help implement tailored strategies that create predictable routines and support pupils in building positive habits.

This role is ideal for someone who connects well with teenagers who can deliver clear messages confidently and who values the relational side of behaviour support just as much as the practical elements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide in class support to pupils needing behaviour or focus guidance
Offer calm relational responses during moments of dysregulation
Deliver one to one or small group behaviour coaching sessions
Support transitions and ensure pupils understand expectations
Share updates with pastoral staff to inform long term planning
