Job Description
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? An independent special school in Solihull is seeking four dedicated and compassionate individuals to join their team as SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children aged 5–19, providing personalized support that fosters their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored 1:1 support to students with SEND, adapting strategies to meet individual learning needs.
Engage actively with students to promote participation and enthusiasm in various activities.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to educators and parents/guardians.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Demonstrated experience or strong understanding of working with children with SEND.
Energetic and compassionate approach, with the ability to engage actively with students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
A valid driving license is preferred due to the school's location and potential travel requirements.
