Job Description
We are seeking a SEND Classroom Assistant to support pupils with complex learning needs in a nurturing specialist school in Walsall. You will work alongside experienced teachers and therapists to deliver structured learning activities, sensory-based sessions, and personalised routines. Pupils may have autism, mobility needs, speech and language challenges, or developmental delays — so adaptability and empathy are essential. You’ll help with communication support, transitions, personal care (where needed), and daily routines designed to promote independence and confidence. The role is rewarding, varied, and perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on impact.
Job Responsibilities
Support 1:1 and small group learning.
Assist with sensory and communication-based activities.
Encourage independence and regulate emotions positively.
Collaborate with staff to adapt resources and routines.
