Job Description

A nurturing SEND school in Warwickshire is seeking a dedicated SEND Mentor to support pupils aged 11–16 who benefit from additional guidance and structure in their learning journey. You’ll be part of a committed team working to provide tailored academic and emotional support in small-group and one-to-one settings. This is a role for someone who values connection, patience, and genuine progress over quick fixes. Each day will bring new opportunities to help pupils build independence, self-confidence, and resilience — whether that’s supporting transitions, facilitating sensory breaks, or celebrating personal milestones. The school will provide ongoing training and professional development, allowing you to specialise further in areas such as emotional regulation or communication support.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide targeted 1:1 and group mentoring to pupils with SEND needs.
Implement individual support plans and help track progress.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to maintain consistency.
Promote inclusion and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Desired Experience
+ Qualifications

Experience supporting students with autism, ADHD, or social communication needs.
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
A patient, empathetic approach to helping children manage emotions and learning challenges.
A commitment to professional growth and reflective practice.

What do I need?

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Education-based referee details - we’ll apply for the references!

That’s it! Our process is simple, and our consultants will advise on how to fast track your checks so you can start working ASAP.

Equal Opportunities Employer

Milestone Education is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or sexual orientation.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. Our HR and Safeguarding team will be there to support you throughout the process.

But, I don’t want to register with a supply agency, why should I sign up with Milestone?

We get it. Supply agencies can’t always deliver exactly what you’re looking for, but that’s where we’re different…

We’re an education platform service who partner with schools and MATs to support their recruitment, training and wellbeing needs. It’s in our interest to secure you a role you’ll love, in a setting you’ll want to stay in, with a view to progressing your career. If that’s what you want!

Our HR and Safeguarding team consistently go the extra mile to complete your checks as quickly as possible - at no cost to you. To put so much hard work and valuable time into completing these checks and then NOT deliver the opportunities you are looking for…? Well, we’d go out of business pretty quickly!

How much does it cost and how much will I be paid?

Our services to you are completely free.

Costs will only incur if you require a new DBS or OSPC, but don't worry - we can still put you forward for interviews while the applications in process, so you won't miss out on all the exciting opportunities!

All roles are paid in line with Teachers Pay and Conditions, or are matched with each school’s salary guidelines for the role you undertake. We'll always negotiate the best possible pay rates that reflect your hard work, experience and qualifications.
