Job Description
We are recruiting a Pastoral Mentor to support pupils with complex needs in a Coventry SEND school. Your role will focus on helping pupils develop self-regulation, resilience, and social confidence through structured routines and positive relationships. You will deliver small-group wellbeing sessions, provide 1:1 mentoring, and support learning by acting as a calm and consistent presence. This is an ideal role for someone with experience in youth work, SEMH support, or therapeutic education. Every day, you’ll make a tangible difference — whether helping a learner get through a tough morning or celebrating personal milestones.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group pastoral interventions.
Support emotional regulation using consistent strategies.
Liaise with teachers, therapists, and families.
Promote independence, safety, and positive decision-making.
Desired Experience
+ Qualifications
Experience with SEMH or SEND desirable.
Strong emotional intelligence and patience.
Confident with de-escalation strategies.
