Job Description
As a SEND Pathway Mentor you will support pupils with autism ADHD sensory processing differences developmental delays and communication needs. You will help pupils navigate their school day with structure confidence and emotional safety through a blend of classroom support one to one guidance and targeted interventions.
Your daily work will include helping pupils settle into lessons using visual timetables preparing sensory breaks adapting tasks and supporting communication using simplified language or symbol based tools. You will work closely with the SENCo teachers therapists and pastoral leads to deliver consistent strategies that help pupils regulate focus and participate successfully.
This role suits someone who enjoys problem solving in the moment learning about diverse SEND profiles and building warm trusting relationships that help pupils grow socially emotionally and academically. It is meaningful highly relational work in a school that values patience structure and genuine connection.
