Job Description
We're looking for a compassionate SEND Support Assistant to strengthen a Birmingham primary school known for its expert, therapeutic approach. You'll provide one-to-one and small group support—helping pupils access learning, regulate behaviour, and gain independence and confidence.
From adapting lesson resources to supporting sensory or social activities, each day brings new opportunities to help children thrive. You'll work within a dedicated team of teachers and SEND specialists, tailoring your support to each pupil’s needs and watching their progress unfold.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised support to SEND pupils, both 1:1 and in small groups
Adapt materials and learning tasks for accessibility
Foster independence and positive behaviours in students
Collaborate closely with staff and families to deliver supportive learning plans
