Job Description
This role is ideal for someone who wants to bring energy empathy and curiosity into the classroom while supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs. As a SEND Support Specialist you’ll work alongside teachers therapists and the SENCo to deliver targeted support that helps pupils stay regulated engaged and confident in their learning. You’ll build trusted relationships use creative approaches to communication and help pupils develop strategies that make the school day feel more predictable and less overwhelming.
Your day will involve a mix of in-class support sensory-based interventions and structured 1:1 time focused on emotional regulation communication and independence. You’ll be part of a school community that celebrates individuality encourages new ideas and gives you the room to try things test things and refine your approach. This role suits someone who cares deeply about inclusion and enjoys learning about the different ways young people process the world around them.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide tailored support for pupils with autism ADHD and communication needs
Assist in delivering sensory regulation strategies and structured routines
Adapt learning tasks to match pupil strengths and needs
Record observations and collaborate with teachers and SENCo on support plans
Encourage positive behaviour through consistent modelling and calm guidance

Confidence working with sensory needs and emotional regulation techniques
