Job Description
This role is designed for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties. As a SEND Support Specialist, you’ll be embedded in both the classroom and intervention groups, helping pupils access learning in practical, creative, and personalised ways. You’ll be involved in structured programmes such as communication groups, sensory regulation activities, and one-to-one mentoring. The role offers the opportunity to build trusted relationships while collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and parents. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support individual pupils with differentiated resources and strategies
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions (literacy, social communication, sensory regulation)
Assist class teachers in adapting lessons for accessibility
Monitor and celebrate pupil progress against EHCP outcomes
Work with therapists and SENCO to deliver joined-up support
