Job Description
A supportive Primary school in Birmingham is seeking a Primary Focus and Self-Belief Partner to work with pupils who struggle to sustain attention, confidence, or motivation during lessons. You’ll support children who may disengage quietly, avoid tasks, or need reassurance to keep going when learning feels challenging.
Your role will include providing in-class support, guiding pupils through focus strategies, and offering calm 1:1 encouragement during independent work. Some pupils may need help breaking tasks into manageable steps; others benefit from positive reinforcement and steady prompts to remain engaged. You’ll help pupils reconnect effort with success in a way that feels achievable and supportive.
Working closely with class teachers and the SEND team, you’ll help embed consistent approaches that strengthen focus and self-belief. This role suits someone patient, observant, and motivated by helping children build confidence alongside learning skills.
Support pupils with focus, confidence, and engagement.
Provide calm in-class guidance and encouragement.
Assist with task initiation and sustained attention.
Work collaboratively with teachers and SEND staff.

Experience supporting Primary-aged pupils.
