Job Description
We’re seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant who brings strong experience with children who have SEND and SEMH, and is comfortable supporting both physical and learning disabilities. You’ll deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions, adapt resources to meet individual needs, and build strong rapport to help pupils access the curriculum confidently.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND/SEMH, including physical and learning disabilities
Adapt classroom materials and teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment encouraging independence and confidence
Collaborate with teachers, support staff and external professionals to monitor progress
Uphold safeguarding procedures and contribute to an inclusive classroom ethos
Desired Experience

Experience working with pupils with SEND and SEMH in education or care settings
Ability to work with a range of needs including physical and learning disabilities
Strong communication skills, patient, dependable and proactive
Familiarity with strategies to support access to the national curriculum
