Job Description
This role is ideal for someone who understands the challenges pupils face when moving between key stages or re-engaging with mainstream education. You’ll work with students who have identified SEND needs, including autism, ADHD and speech and language difficulties. Your role is to help them settle into routines, navigate expectations and build trust with key staff. You’ll act as a bridge between the classroom and support services, ensuring pupils don’t fall behind socially or academically. Working closely with SENCOs, behaviour leads and teachers, you’ll create calm transitions and remove unnecessary barriers to learning.
Job Responsibilities:
Support individual pupils in class and during movement between lessons
Develop strategies that promote independence and confidence
Communicate regularly with teaching and pastoral staff
Monitor pupil progress and offer early intervention

Experience supporting SEND learners in education or care settings
Strong communication and patient relational skills
Ability to follow EHCP targets and behaviour guidance
Flexible, consistent and proactive in busy school environments
