Job Description

We are looking for a creative and committed Year 1 teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in the Rugby area. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for delivering high-quality Key Stage 1 education, and who thrives in a classroom where curiosity and confidence are encouraged every day.

Key Responsibilities :
Deliver engaging lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum
Use creative strategies to support early literacy, numeracy, and social skills
Monitor pupil progress and provide clear feedback to both students and parents
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Encourage independence, confidence, and a love for learning in young pupils

Desired Experience
+ Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in a KS1 setting, preferably Year 1
A clear understanding of the developmental needs of younger learners
Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A DBS (and Overseas Police Check if you’ve recently lived outside the UK for more than 6 months).

  • Education-based referee details - we’ll apply for the references!
